We are a group of LEGO® fans who are also railfans. Our goals are:

  • To share our ideas and skills with each other and with LEGO train fans around the world.
  • To bring high-quality, interactive layouts to both train shows and LEGO events, as a group or in collaboration with other clubs.
  • To improve the quality, quantity, and visibility of LEGO model railroading throughout the great nation of Texas and beyond!

If you like detailed LEGO train and town layouts, we'd love to have you as a member. Most of our communication takes place through the very active TBRR Google Group. Send a join request to be added to this group. We also have a page on Facebook.

Our first official event as a group was in February 2013 at the Great Train Expo in Houston. We had a big exhibit with 13 members present. We operated up to eight trains (including a monorail!) at once!

In May 2013, our setup at the Austin Mini Maker Faire got Slashdotted!

Since then, we've exhibited at more than 80 events: LEGO shows, train shows, Maker Faires, and more. We have traveled as far as Atlanta (for the National Train Show) and Chicago, IL (for Brickworld) to take part in joint events with other clubs. We brought home two awards in the inaugural Brick Train Awards, given by Brick Model Railroader and LNUR. The Best Individual Display Worldwide went to Tim Howell. The club as a whole won Best Group Display for the Americas.

This website will continue to grow. What else would you like to see from your Texan LEGO train club? Send comments to Steve Jackson at sj@sjgames.com.
